Rainy day today, was hoping for a sunny start to the Easter holidays, but looks like a coat and wellies day instead! Feeling inspired to paint ....and stay in the warm ; )

I have been experimenting with just simple line drawings.
It has surprised me how hard it is to keep so simple, the temptation is always there to keep adding more, but I really wanted to try some very clean and effortless looking designs.

Eclipse

Well I was lucky to watch the eclipse with my son at his school this morning...or not watch it!
We used two pieces of paper, one with a hole in to watch the shadow.
It was a brilliant experience and a great start to the day : )
Maybe some sun and moon inspired pictures to follow......

Complete with Easter eggs and bunny ears!
I have decided on a little Eater tree this year (will never try and match Christmas) and some Easter bunting and of coarse the Easter penguins.

Cat family picture

With a Jack Russell at home, this is the closest I can get to having cats in the house!

Shop open!

Well it's a small start but I managed to list 10 pictures on the new Etsy shop yesterday.
It took a bit longer than I had thought and wanted to start with a few more, but plenty of time for adding to it soon.
Half way through the day, Etsy changed the way listings are added which confused me for a little while but turns out it was easier in the end!

It's only just begun......

Still in the early stages of sorting things out. It has surprised me how many little things had to be considered before setting up selling my pictures. It feels like the art work is the easy part at the moment. Hopefully though not too long to go now.....eeeek excited!!
